A 1957 BBC news segment about how to harvest spaghetti from trees.
This was meant to be an April Fools joke, but apparently most people at that time were not familiar with spaghetti, and so BBC received many phone calls from excited viewers wanting to know how they could acquire spaghetti trees of their own.
I thought this was cute.

After I finished laughing, I realized that I'd be one of those nincompoops who'd probably believe such a thing back in the day. What a well-done April Fool's Joke - that British announcer was the perfect touch!
Stephanie: It's also just funny to imagine that people were so unfamiliar with spaghetti, which is today a staple in most homes, that they actually believed this newscast. Yes, the British announcer was great.
