Until I recently became a blogger, I never realized the importance of leaving a comment on the blogs I visited. Yes, I was a lurker. I would stop by to enjoy the interesting articles and book reviews but would rarely leave behind a sign of my visit. I just didn't realize how much bloggers appreciate those comments which are proof that someone is actually reading the articles that they so painstakingly wrote. Now that I myself am I blogger I have my own lurkers to contend with. I know they have been here because my traffic counter tells me so, but since many visitor leave no sign of their passing through (and my mother doesn't count) it often feels like the words I have written are going unread.
So dear visitor, next time you stop by, take a moment to say hi.
And since I'm always in search of a good book to read, why don't you tell me what you recommend? (It doesn't have to be scifi or fantasy, since I do enjoy many other genres as well)

Simcha, I totally agree. Comments are just so motivating. It feels so good to know someone is reading what you're writing even if they don't agree with it. I love the new header at the top of the page. Have you read any Charlaine Harris? I am addicted to her Harper Connelly series. Its paranormal mystery. The first book is Grave Sight.

Yes, I totally agree - I really appreciate my commenters! I love your layout, though - the header's fantastic, and as for a recommendation, have you read Anathem? SF/Fantasy crossover, and very interesting.

I have the Kate Daniels series as ebooks, I couldn't find them here in Israel as books-books, either. If you don't have issues with ebooks (it took me a long time to be able to read one, I just love "real" books)let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.

Becky- It was actually due to your suggestion that I "jazz up" my blog that I went looking for a new template. The thought hadn't even occurred to me before that. So thanks so much for making the suggestion. I love Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series (except for the most recent one, which I gave my harshest review yet. I thought it was a real disappointment) but I haven't tried her other books. If you say they are good, then I'll give her Harper Connelly a try as well.
Jacob-Although I do own Anathem, I haven't read it since its so different from the types of books I usually gravitate towards. But I have been trying to expand my horizons, particularly concerning SF, so perhaps I'll give it a try.
Ramona-I actually also read the Magic Bites as an ebook though I was excited about the idea that they might be available here in
Israel in real book format. Sigh, I guess we still have a long way to go. I'd love to receive the second book by email, if you don't mind
